About GrantHub Ireland

GrantHub Ireland is a done-for-you Housing Adaptation Grant application service for Irish families. We are not an installer. We do not sell or fit stairlifts, lifts or bathrooms ourselves. Our job is to take the paperwork burden off families so they can claim the grant funding they're entitled to without giving up halfway through the process.

How we work

  1. You use our free eligibility checker to see what % of cost you'd qualify for under the Housing Adaptation Grant.
  2. You sign up for the application pack that suits you (HAG or Mobility Aids).
  3. You upload your supporting documents securely. We review and flag anything missing.
  4. We coordinate the OT report, source the three required installer quotes from vetted partners, and complete the council application.
  5. We send you a finished application pack ready to submit. You file with your council. The council reviews and issues a decision letter.
  6. The works are scheduled with the chosen installer. You pay the difference between the approved cost and the grant.

How we are paid

We charge a flat fee for the application pack — €299 for the Housing Adaptation Grant pack, €149 for the Mobility Aids Grant pack. This covers the entire application process: eligibility verification, document review, coordination of the OT report and three installer quotes, completion of the council application form, and a finished pack ready to submit.

We may also receive a separate referral fee from installers when you proceed with one of them. This does not affect the price the installer charges you. The installer fee is disclosed in your service agreement, and our recommendation of any installer is based on track record and grant compliance, not commercial relationship.

How we vet installers

Every installer in our network is independently verified for:

  • Tax clearance (required for grant-eligible work)
  • Public liability insurance (€2.6m+ minimum)
  • Trade association membership (where applicable)
  • Operating history and customer reviews on independent platforms
  • Willingness to provide grant-compliant itemised quotes within agreed timeframes

How we share your data

When you submit our quote form, we share the following with up to three installers in your county:

  • Your name, phone number, email
  • Your county and product preference
  • Any additional notes you choose to provide
  • Whether you intend to apply for a grant

We do not share medical details, income information, or any data beyond the above. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. Each installer is bound by a Data Processing Agreement that prohibits onward sharing.

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us — we will instruct installers to delete your record and stop contacting you.

Privacy policy

This is a placeholder. The full privacy policy should be drafted by a solicitor and cover: data controller identity, lawful basis for processing (Art 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent), categories of data, retention period (we recommend 24 months), recipients (named installer partners), data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent), complaints to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), and use of cookies / analytics.

Until that document is in place, this site should not be live. (This note should be removed before launch.)
